Using fashion to raise awareness around human rights issues.
Simeon utilises transformative items to address both local and global issues and capture the attention of onlookers. Our vision is to create an initiative that gives a percentage of profits back to Bobbi Bear’s “under the tree program” (a non-profit organisation striving to alleviate poverty in South Africa). Based on a survey in 2015, more than half of South Africa’s population live in poverty, and two thirds of these are children.
We strive to share our vision with a large audience in an attempt to unite us to make a difference. Each item in the collection is sold with a shelter voucher, allowing customers to gift these to the homeless, allowing them to spend a night in a warm bed, with a meal and the opportunity to receive guidance and counselling.
